Choosing the right Bicycle

Choosing the correct bicycle for you requires expert advice. We never recommend simply picking from a catalog – you need to try the bicycle and have it fitted to you. That’s why we will not sell online.

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase

Choosing a bicycle should be a fun experience but you want to make sure that you get the best bicycle for you. There are several important considerations when you begin your search for the perfect bike. Some of them are:

Function. Why do you want a bike? Are you looking for increased fitness? Do you want to commute to work? Do you race? Are you training for a triathlon? Is riding with the kids your goal? Could it be the simple joy of propelling yourself on two wheels? Whatever your motivation, we take the time to find out what kind of riding you intend to do, both now and in the future.

Fit. We recommend that you never buy a bike without riding it first. Even experienced riders sometimes buy a bike online that does not fit them well. Stand over height (standing over the top tube with your feet flat on the floor) is important for a comfortable and a safe ride. The length of the top tube and stem of the bike combine to determine how stretched out and how upright you will be on the bike. Particularly on rides of more than a couple of miles, this dimension will determine whether you enjoy the ride. At JT’s Bicycle, we take the time to fit you to the correct size bike. If it is a size that we don’t have in stock, we will order the correct size. We never sell you a bike too small or large simply because we have it in stock. We will order the correct size and usually you will be riding your new bike within two days.

Ride.

Style. Bikes are not simply functional. They also have a certain style about them. Tastes vary and so do our bike models. We carry the full line of Giant and Haro bicycles. You can get any color available from either of these manufacturers.

Price. Our prices are competitive with any bike shop selling Giant, BMC, BH, Pivot, Redline, Eastern, WTP or Haro in Las Vegas or Henderson. In many instances, we can save you money. We have several hundred bikes in stock and they include all price levels. If you want to build your dream bike from a frame up, we will be happy to help you make this a reality.
